Photo update Dec. 15, 2017 at 6:28p.mm

So that last post was interesting.  Sent it a few minutes ago and it says it was posted on Dec. 16. Wonder where the posting site is??? What time zone????VLUU L100, M100 / Samsung L100, M100

It worked this time.  This is a disappearing nine patch that I started a number of years ago.  I needed a quilt for a wedding gift and decided to finish this one. I put a polar fleece on the back and finished it as a quilt as you go quilt.  I really liked the colours and hated to give it away but I think that it is being enjoyed.  I forgot to take a photo of the back.

Dec. 15, 2017

I see that I have not posted since Sept.  Now I need to remember how to add a photo.

Ok so I figured that out, but I can’t figure out how to type below the photo so I will post this and go for another posting.  Merry Christmas to everyone.

Top left is the Judy Niemeyer quilt I am still working on. I want to make it bigger. I think I will go with the 2 borders I have here just not sure of width of each border.

Each photo for the dog beds are the fronts and back of the same pillows  in groups of two.

The bottom quilt in process is a four patch quilt I am helping a friend make that does not sew very much.  She has done all of the sewing so far.  We got the top sewn this for in 4 hours.  The sashing is cut and ready to go as well.  I can’t name any names as this is a Christmas gift for her daughter and husband.

Photo is of a pin cushion that I made this year. I love making hexagons. I should make another one of these.

Second shot is of a shopping bag I made for my secret pal in 2017.  The pocket is paper pieced and a bubble bee as the new owner is a beekeeper.

Next is a sashiko piece that I made after taking a class from a guild member. I do enjoy doing this.

Second view of the same piece.  It is about 8 by 12 or so.

We are getting carpet laid in two bedrooms today.  The workers were to arrive between 9 and 9:30 It was after 10am when they arrived.  Hope all goes well.

Happy quilting to everyone.

blue/gold table topper

Back and front of table topper I finished and gifted to Sara C. my son’s girlfriend.  I think a friend gave me the top. Found it the other day and decided to finish it this way.  Starting to downsize a bit so will have to start getting this done or out of the house.  I have a lot of u.f.o’s.

Faux cathedral window

This partly done cathedral window belongs to Sharon L.  I was recently on a quilt retreat with her and others from my guild. I just loved this little piece.  It is now on my to do list.  She made this after watching a youtube video of Jenny Doan at Missouri Quilts.   I watched the same video and thought that I would like to make it but she is much faster at giving things a try.
